Model V5 vs V5.5: what actually changes
Wsong.ai currently uses two provider execution paths. Free accounts start with a one-time V5.5 trial and fall back to V5 after it is used; monthly and annual paid plans include V5.5. The differences are access, route, and documented sound improvements—not a promise that every output will be better.

Retired model history
Older model labels remain on earlier songs
Model V1, V3, and V4.5 labels remain visible where they describe a historical generation. New generation requests accept only V5 and V5.5, so retired models cannot be selected again.
Why this distinction matters
Extending or covering a historical V1, V3, or V4.5 song creates the new result with V5. Current V5 and V5.5 songs keep their selected model for those derived actions.
Two current routes
Only Model V5 and V5.5 accept new generation work. Retired versions remain readable on historical songs.
Documented sound updates
Model V5.5 adds richer arrangements, sharper vocals, and more dynamic sound across genres.

V5 and V5.5 questions
What is the difference between Model V5 and V5.5?
They use different provider execution routes. Free accounts start with a one-time Model V5.5 trial and fall back to Model V5 after it is used. Paid monthly and annual plans include ongoing V5.5 access. Wsong.ai does not claim that every V5.5 output will be better for every song.
Can free users write a song with Model V5?
Yes. After sign-in, free accounts can keep using Model V5 within the daily generation allowance after their one-time V5.5 trial is used.
What happened to Model V1, V3, and V4.5?
V1, V3, and V4.5 can still appear on songs generated in the past, but they are no longer accepted for new generations. Extending or covering an older song moves the new result to Model V5.
Who can select Model V5.5?
Free users can select Model V5.5 while their one-time trial has uses remaining. Active monthly and annual paid subscribers can keep selecting it without the trial cap. Current limits are defined by the Pricing page; commercial usage rights are a separate question defined by the License Agreement.
Does each generation still create two songs?
Yes. Each Wsong.ai generation returns two versions from the same input and selected model. Keep the prompt, lyrics, style, and model fixed if you want to judge the two interpretations fairly.
